The Platform Package AppAgile Azure Cognitive Services provides managed PaaS, based on RedHat OpenShift, as well as native Cognitive Azure Services like Vision, Speech, Language, Knowledge and Search Services.
The vision is to create a managed cloud service connected to applications running on the AppAgile platform that enables customers of TSI to easily envision, build, deploy, and monetize intelligent solutions to turn data driven insights into action. The following illustration provides an overview of the Cortana Intelligence Suite.

|Cognitive Services||Microsoft Cognitive Services are a set of APIs, SDKs and services available to developers to make their applications more intelligent, engaging and discoverable. Microsoft Cognitive Services expands on Microsoft’s evolving portfolio of machine learning APIs and enables developers to easily add intelligent features – such as emotion and video detection; facial, speech and vision recognition; and speech and language understanding – into their applications. Our vision is for more personal computing experiences and enhanced productivity aided by systems that increasingly can see, hear, speak, understand and even begin to reason.|
Machine learning is a technique of data science that helps computers learn from existing data in order to forecast future behaviors, outcomes, and trends.
These forecasts or predictions from machine learning can make apps and devices smarter. When you shop online, machine learning helps recommend other products you might like based on what you’ve purchased. When your credit card is swiped, machine learning compares the transaction to a database of transactions and helps detect fraud. When your robot vacuum cleaner vacuums a room, machine learning helps it decide whether the job is done.
|Bot Service||Use the Azure Bot Service to accelerate your bot’s development by working in an integrated environment that’s purpose-built for bot development. This integrated environment lets you build, connect, deploy and manage intelligent bots that interact naturally wherever your users are talking—from your app or website to Text/SMS, Skype, Slack, Facebook Messenger, Kik, Office 365 mail, and other popular services. You can also increase the value of your bots with a few lines of code by plugging into Cognitive Services to enable your bots to see, hear, interpret and interact in more human ways.|
The Azure Intelligence and Analytics services provide the foundation for a wide range of business use cases for all vertical industries and the public sector. The following financial services example gives an overview to illustrate the concept.
The Azure services are accessible directly over the customer application via APIs. Therefore, T-Systems will provide the requested services to the customer. Either the service is bookable directly at the Cloud Integration Center or the service will be ordered via a Change.
On a technical perspective, Microsoft is providing not all Azure Cognitive Services in every region. The list of available Services per region can be found >HERE< (external link).
